Marriott Hotel Lobby

Our walk had taken us around 30 minutes, not that it was a long distance from the condo, but that their were sticks to look at and rests that has to be taken (with the heat and all). We had to stop at the older kid's pool and make sure that they hadn't decided to take a swim.

We had made our objective, the Hotel Lobby. As we walked in the front doors, we were taken back by the size of the lobby.

Blake and Michelle This is a picture of Blake and Michelle in the lobby. The interior of the lobby was about four or five stories up. There were a number of rooms where the doors opened to the interior of the lobby. The stairs behind Blake went down to the water where they had gandola rides. From 4:00pm to 5:30pm they would give rides for free. After 5:30pm, they only gave rides to the guests that had reservations to the restaurants along the water front.
Blake and Michelle This is a picture of the lobby from the lower far conor. Notice the nice water falls and the boat loading area. There are palm trees in the center of the lobby and vines hanging from each of the floor balconies. It was very impressive.

At first we were not sure what the cost of the boat ride was, but it just so happened that we had come during the free ride period. So Blake, Michelle, Stephanie and I waited in the line and went for a boat ride. The ride took about 15 minutes and toured the grounds in back of the hotel. Basically, we took a tour of all the restaurants at the Marriott hotel. The following page is a picture tour of our boat ride.

Gandola Ride We hope that you enjoy the ride as much as we did!!!

Later in the evening, Gram, Kathy and I went back to the Hotel, except this time we rode on a shuttle bus. We walked down to the where the boat rides were, but found out that the boat rides were mainly to service the restaurants and the time for free rides had ended. So we looked around the lobby area and then went back to the condo.
