I am excited to announce that I have finalized our trip to Italy.  Tonya and I will be traveling to Italy in June 2016.  We, or I should say, I have been wanting to go back to Italy for a long time and it just seemed like the right time.  I have been able to book 3 weeks of condos and have all the flights arranged.  Just nine months to prepare.  Being the way I am, I have everything pretty much done now.  There are a couple of things I need to complete, getting car insurance for the rental (USAA won’t cover a rental car outside of the U.S.) and just making sure the credit card companies know I will be traveling during that time.   And one more thing, saving money so we can spend some on fun things to do.

The other things that I need to do are:

• Start learning Italian again or bringing it back from the far reaches of my brain, so at least I can understand what is being said.  The speaking part will take a bit more effort, but I will overcome.
• Figure out an itinerary for all the items we would like to visit.  We have a good idea on the big tourist attractions that we would like to see, but also would like to visit some of the less known places.  So this will require some more research along the way.
• I also have to book a two places to stay between the first and second week and again between the second and third week.

We may or may not follow the plan exactly, but better to have ideas, than no idea at all.
