Attitude of Gratitude

gratitudequotes6

The above quote caused me to pause once again and consider the meaning behind a simple one liner.  It really doesn’t matter what you do, what you earn, or who you are, if you approach life with Gratitude in your heart, you will find fulfillment.

The way I see it is probably different than the way you see it, but we both can see.  The way I say it is not the way you would say, but we can speak.  The way I hear it may cause different emotions than the way you hear it, but what a joy to be able to listen to it.  What I am looking for is very likely not what you are looking for, but no matter what we are looking for, if we do it with Gratitude in our hearts, the happiness that comes from finding it will bring joy to our lives.

How is it that one person can thoroughly love the opportunity and the other despise it.  Though it be the same, the way we approach it means everything.  Each and everything we do, say, hear and see during the day is an opportunity for growth and learning.  Are we shutting out the world or grasping for all it has to offer?

Why Attitude, well, that is what drives our view of the world.  If the attitude is sagging, then the world will sag.  If the attitude is optimistic, then the world will offer opportunities.  If the attitude is of love, then we have peace.

Gratitude allows me to look around and see beauty in all things.  Become a photographer or a painter and the world will transform in front of your eyes.  You start looking around for the perfect picture and it can be surprising what you see.  Take a hike, but don’t rush to the top.  Stop, look and smell the flowers and for that moment you will set all the beauty in this world.

At this time of Thanksgiving, I offer up this simple prayer:

“Grant Me a Greater Attitude of Gratitude”.
