We had reserved two Condos at the Marriott Desert Springs Villas. The Condos were very nice. Each had two separate bedrooms with a sofa sleeper. Each Condo would accommodate 8 people. There was a kitchen, two bathrooms, living room and a dining room. We had a lot of room to move without stepping on each other.
The following is a picture of Condo 9635.
The sleeping arrangements were set up as follows:
Condo 9635/36
Condo 9235/36
I took the following pictures around the outside of the Condo:
This is the only picture I took of the inside of Condo 9635 of Blake enjoying the sofa and the others were discussing something important.
Sunday we all got up early to go to church, it began at 9am. Before leaving, I had done some research and found a ward building in Palm Springs, about 30 minutes away. So we had to leave by 8:30am. On our way we missed the turn. As we were driving on I-10 west bound, a small pickup in front of us blew a tire and I swerved to miss the flying rubber. With all the commotion, we missed our exit and ended up driving an extra 10 miles. So, again, we had to turn around and come back. We made it to church only 5 minutes late. The sad part about this whole thing is, that later I learned that there was a Stake Center a couple of blocks away from where we were staying.
After lunch Sunday afternoon, most everyone went to sleep, that wonderful Sunday afternoon nap, even on vacation. Except for Rich, Blake, Michelle, and Stephanie. So, we decided to take a walk over to the Marriott Hotel, which was on the other side of the property. The temperature was somewhere around 115° to 120°. So we walked slow. It was a very pretty walk. I have included the following pictures that were taken on this walk.
